"I have been very blessed to work with the most wonderful customers over the years.
I love and appreciate each and every one of my clients.
I am now offering to the public all of the clinical and beauty products that I
currently use and stock at my Facelogix Clinical Skincare & Makeover Studio,
so they can achieve similar results at home."
- Kathryn Dean, LE, PMU, MUA, CIT, LHRP, LSO
I hold three state Esthetician Licenses to practice aesthetics in Texas (2005), Florida (2014), and California (2024). I particularly enjoy working with problematic and ethnic skin types (Fitzpatrick Skin Types I through VI). I love to make people feel good about the way they look. When working with clients, I always listen to their needs and then assesses what will help them achieve the look they are trying to achieve. I also enjoy teaching my clients how to achieve skin care and beauty techniques, so they can recreate their own results at home.
My interest in skin care started when I was 12 years old. I had suffered a terrible case of grade-three acne until my mother took me to see a dermatologist. That proved to be a learning experience I would never forget and caused me to develop proper skin care techniques at an early age. My experience in the beauty industry began when I started runway modeling at 14 years old and at age 16, I worked as an independent contractor at the Diane Dick Modeling and Talent Agency, where I learned the art of photography make-up from a world-renowned make-up artist, Linda Sembera. I moved to Dallas, Texas, after graduating high school to attend college and continued to work part-time in the fashion, print, runway modeling, and make-up artistry.
In 2001, I received a Degree in Science from Brookhaven College and currently attend the University of Texas at Arlington. I have worked in sales, marketing, and product development positions with three surgical implant companies; a biomedical and aesthetics skincare product, laser, microdermabrasion, and medical equipment manufacturer; a medical chemical peel manufacturer; and an online beauty and hair e-commerce retailer, in the years from 1993 to 2009. My work experience began in 1993 with a surgical implant and instruments company named Leibinger LP, where I was able to learn about how the body heals from within (under the skin) and also with a company named OsteoMed (from 2001-2003). In 2003, I started working for Genesis Biosystems, a biomedical engineering and aesthetics company. Genesis Biosystems manufactures the Derma Genesis brand of Medical Microdermabrasion Systems, Chromolite Intense Pulsed Light Systems, Regen Light Pulsed-Dye Laser, LipiVage Fat transfer device and other medical supplies for estheticians and physicians. I served as their clinical training and marketing director until 2006. I worked directly with the owners of the company and engineers and helped to develop new products, training courses and instruction for estheticians and physicians on how to utilize the company’s aesthetic and medical products in their practices. While working at Genesis Biosystems, I went back to school during my nights and weekends, to obtain my aesthetics license as a Licensed Esthetician (LE). I received my license to practice esthetics in 2005 from National Beauty College in Houston, Texas, and a Certificate in Derma Genesis Microdermabrasion. In 2006, I started working for BeautyandHair.com as their Sales and Marketing Director. In 2007, I designed, created and developed Facelogix.com and created a retail brick and mortar location, Facelogix Clinical Skincare and Makeover Center and Studio in Colleyville, Texas, where customized clinical skincare and beauty procedures are performed, and retail home, beauty and skincare products are sold. At the same time I started Facelogix, I also worked part time as an independent contractor/regional sales representative for for VI Peel/Khalil Medical Products and for Trilliant Surgical until 2009, when Facelogix finally grew to the point where I could focus on the business full-time. In 2012, I received my Texas Certification and Tattoo Studio License as a Permanent Makeup Artist (PMU), MicroPigmentation, Microblading, Microneedling, and Tattoo Artist. In 2014, I received my Florida Esthetic License. In February 2023, I joined forces with MySpaLive and their Medical Directors, Marie Nicole Beauvoir, M.D. and Karen Reid-Renner, M.D. (who oversee the basic and advanced Botox, Jeuveau, and Xeomin Cosmetic Neurotoxin Injections I offer) and received my Certified Injection Technician (CIT) Level 1 Basic Certification and my Level 2 and Level 3 Advanced Injection Technician Certifications in Cosmetic Neurotoxin Injections of the Face and Neck. In 2024, I received another Specialty License as a Laser Hair Removal Professional and am also Certified as a Laser Safety Officer in Texas. In 2024, I also received my license to practice Esthetics in California.
